My favourite songs from a really good month in music.
25. The Knocks & Walk The Moon – Best For Last
24. Bloc Party – So Real
23. Night Beds – Corner
22. David Guetta f. Sia & Fetty Wap – Bang My Head
21. Rostam – Wood
20. Brett – Claire Drained
19. Gemini – Time To Share
18. Mu – Vampire
Bonus: Stark Sands with Punch Brothers – The Last Thing On My Mind
Recently watched Inside Llewyn Davis, so that’s why.
17. You Say Party – Ignorance
16. Zhu – In The Morning
15. The Chainsmokers f. Daya – Don’t Let Me Down
14. King Charles – Choke
13. Icona Pop – Someone Who Can Dance
12. Wild Ones – Dim The Lights
11. Wintersleep – Territory
10. Chemical Brothers – Wide Open
This sounds like Lisbon in the summer. I don’t know that sound yet, but I will soon…
9. Foxes – Cruel
8. Charlie Puth & Selena Gomez – We Don’t Talk Anymore
7. 5 Seconds of Summer – Jet Black Heart
Not sure they’d come close to “She Looks So Perfect” again. They have with this one.
6. Adele – Send My Love
Adele is all-powerful, so there is no audio available on Youtube. So in its stead, a pretty good cover of a really good song.
5. Allie X – OLD HABITS DIE HARD
Really talented songwriter. This is the gitch.
4. Sia – Move Your Body/Cheap Thrills/Broken Glass/House on Fire/Footprints
Sia is brilliant. Soooooo many hooks.
3. Jordan Klassen – No Salesman
I’m so thankful to have come across this haunting masterpiece. What a voice and what a melody. Wow.
2. Yeasayer – Prophecy Gun
Simply, one of the best bands on the planet. The chills. Always.
1. The 1975 – Somebody Else/A Change of Heart
The full versions of both of these mega-monster tunes aren’t available on Youtube, so the previews will have to suffice. It’s only March, but these will end up being two of the best songs of 2016, I have no doubt.
